So, Im new at blogging.. i dont know how to go about it.. but how will I ever, if I dont give it a try right? Today I thought of writing about a thing that has brought so joy to my life recently. Throughout my life I considered a mediocre in everything- good at nothing. But of late, I have got lots of comments that say, "Hey you sing well. You should study music." I did not believe them in the beginning. However an unnoticable craving to study carnatic music rose within me.

But I must tell you this incident: There was a music teacher in my school who taught kids prayers and patriotic songs to sing in the assembly.It was neccesary to choose one of the Fine Arts and I chose music for one year, after which the teacher told me I am no good and should try something else. This incident, though it happened in my fifth grade had a great impact on me.

Moving on, I sang (western) representing my college in the All India Radio (Calicut branch) a couple of weeks back and the incident boosted my confidence. I also downloaded a lot of carnatic songs which I listened to till late night (in hostel) and could not sleep. I decided I want to render at least one "Kacheri" before I die. Then I wasted no time to tell my mom about my heart's desire when I came home for the X'mas holidays.

And guess what, I have been learning Carnatic music under Tulasi teacher since last week. And she told me I have a great voice. I cannot describe how wonderful it felt to hear it. So BOOH YAH Rangamani ma'm!!!! sorry..could not resist. The music lessons are moving at great pace.

So, I dont know if you guys can understand how wonderful it is to write about it or how proud I feel right now... And if my blog was not entertaining enough, this is my first attempt. I will improve my standards with each blog.
